TikTok went dark in the United States on Saturday night — hours before a law banning the popular video-sharing platform was expected to go into effect.

The Biden administration said Friday that it did not plan to enforce the law and would instead leave its implementation to the incoming Trump administration.

President-elect Trump will officially return to Washington, set to be inaugurated on Monday for his second term in the White House as the Republican Party trifecta takes form.

In the Middle East, Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas struck a ceasefire deal on Wednesday, an agreement which is expected to start on Sunday, will bring peace to the region marred with warfare for 15 months.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is set to appear on NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday” where he will likely discuss the upcoming presidential inauguration and the possible flurry of executive orders the administration is set to author.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will be on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday, where he is likely to discuss the president-elect’s inauguration and preview some of the GOP conference plans.
