The Democratic National Convention formally kicks off Monday, as tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian demonstrators are expected to march on the city.
President Biden, who announced he was withdrawing his bid for reelection to make room for Vice President Harris at the top of the ticket, is tonight’s headliner.
All eyes will be on the president as he addresses a likely raucous audience at the United Center as the party rallies around Harris, as well as on whether the protests will overshadow the proceedings.
